So today I woke up feeling great. A little stiff, but no hunger pangs so since I am feeling so great I am going to break the fast....right now.
green juice with dino kale, romaine, lemon, ginger juice - instead of straining out the sedement I left it in my juice.
grapefruit, orange, lime and cranberry juice I blended in the cranberries and a little of the orange pulp to add a little more fiber.
Later today I will have a whole juice smoothie with black cherries, broccoli, apples, and spinach and when all of this mashed-up-fiber gets my digestive juices pumping again I will eat some cantaloup and grapes. I also have some veggie stock and miso paste that I might add if I am craving more. So that's my plan for today. We'll see how it goes. I have read that one of the most difficult parts of a fast is breaking it.
I really needed this fast and I am proud of myself. It's been a tough couple of months for me and I wasn't taking care of myself. Even though I am still disappointed with some things that happened in my life this year, I know that there is still a lot to look forward to. I think this fast gave me some spiritual and emotional clarity and calmness.
Technically this fast will last another 6 days as I reintegrate more complex foods into my diet. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

Juice Fast (feast) day 3
Today was good except that my entire body felt sore like I'd spent the entire day before working out. I was lucky enough to get a last minute massage appointment this evening and that helped a little bit with the soreness although I am nervous that the massage will end up making tomorrow difficult. I came home and drank a half gallon of distilled water, hopefully that will dilute and flush out all the additional toxins that massage realeses. We will see.
So long as I am feeling good tomorrow morning I will break the fast. If I am not feeling well, I will carry on with the fast until I feel better and than I will end it.
So Today...
green juice with curly kale, romaine, ginger, lemon, chinese spinach and stevia
beet, garlic, lime, cucumber, jalapeno, onion, carrot, tomato juice
Black cherry, strawberry and raspberry juice
beet, carrot, apple, spinach juice
another green juice before bed
and massive amounts of water.

juice fast (feast) day 2
I woke up a little sore this morning and I noticed several times in the day that I was a little lightheaded but all in all I would say that it was a great second day of fasting. I made a green juice in the morning, went to church and then over to visit my friend Kate Rose and then I spent the rest of the day laying around the house reading and watching Mad Men.
Here's what I had today:
16 ounces distilled water
24 ounces of green juice with collards, romaine, lemon, ginger and stevia
16 ounces of tomato, garlic, carrot, beet, cucumber, basil, onion and jalapeno (just a smidge) juice
8 ounces raspberry juice with stevia
16 ounces grapefruit, orange, lime and cranberry juice with 2 packets of stevia and it was still VERY tart
8 ounces of green juice with celery, cucumber, dino kale, granny smith, ginger and lemon
I read today that perhaps I shouldn't be taking in so much fruit juice, especially those from very acidic fruits like tomatos and citrus so I'm going to try and cut back on those for the duration of the fast.
I felt a little hunger pang for the first time this evening as I wrote this blog so I went and had some of the black cherry and strawberry sun tea that I made. WOW! I muddled strawberries and black cherries in a mason jar and then covered them in distilled water and set out in the sunshine all day. Oh dog, it was excellent! I think I might just have a little more before bed. Good night.

juice fast (feast) day 1
16 ounces of distilled water
Orange, carrot, ginger apple juice
Grape, Cucumber, Romaine, kale, apple juice
beet, carrot, spinach, apple, ginger juice
raspberry juice (raspberries soaked in distilled water and then strained out) with a touch of stevia to make it less sour
Tomato, garlic, onion, jalapeno, romaine, celery juice
Peppermint Tea with Stevia
a cup of distilled water.
Yesterday was pre-fast prep. I ate all veggies and fruit, all raw except for I had a cooked sweet potato and jalapeno for dinner.
Today was very calm. It started off a little on the wrong foot, but once I was aware of my attitude I made a decision to change it. I went to the farmers market to get fasting supplies and started the first day of my juice fast. Tomorrow will be more difficult.
