I always say that this way of eating started by examining the difference between what my body wanted and what it needed. I’ve come to a place where my wants have changed. I don’t want burgers and fries, I don’t want loads of sugar, fat, caffeine, flour, soy, meat and dairy.
After yesterday’s un-welcomed draining I went to the grocery store looking for something. As I walked around I found myself in front of some now unfamiliar and unusual choices. I broke my un-planned fast with a banana followed by what I felt were the most perfect choices for my body yesterday. Drum Roll please, and the winners are........
Yep, that's right. All I ate yesterday was 1/2 Totinos ground beef "style" Party Pizza followed by one piece of Banquet fried chicken.
I probably drank two gallons of water yesterday....I'm happy to announce that I am feeling tip-top this morning. Sometimes green juice is the trick and other times you need a little banquet fried crispy chicken to get 'er done.
Two wolves inside us, which will win? A Cherokee Indian legend
ReplyDeleteTwo Wolves
An old Cherokee Indian chief was teaching his grandson about life…
“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
“One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
“The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
“This same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather
" who wins?"
